There’s no city like New York City. And to New York City, there’s no team quite like the Knicks.

So when a city that’s been on the verge of and over the edge of eruption in anticipation of the franchise’s first NBA championship in 53 years, New York produced scenes like nowhere else can when the Knicks got the job done Saturday night.

New Yorkers packed watch parties across the five boroughs as the Knicks played the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

They watched in the streets as strangers handed out pizzas.

They packed Radio City Music Hall that was glowing orange and blue.

And when the final horn sounded, Manhattan let out a collective, cathartic roar.

A closer look shows a different flavor of the same celebration across the city.

A zoom back out showed just how massive the party in New York grew.

And it showed no signs of stopping as of early Sunday morning. Be safe out there, New York. And enjoy.
