Hawks, head coach Quin Snyder reportedly agree to multi-year contract extension after making playoffs

The Atlanta Hawks believe in head coach Quin Snyder. After two middling years, the Hawks showed plenty of improvement during the 2025-25 NBA season, making the playoffs for the first time under Snyder.

As a result, the team reportedly agreed to a multi-year extension with the head coach Monday, according to ESPN.

The deal comes after Snyder led the team to a 46-36 record last season. It was the team’s first winning season since 2021-22, when the team finished four games over .500.

Despite the Hawks’ regular-season success, the team failed to advance past the New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs.
