Jannik Sinner will face French wild card Clement Tabur in the first round of the French Open, which starts on Sunday May 24, seeking to clinch a career Grand Slam. 

Sinner was runner-up in last year's final, losing an epic contest to Spain's Carlos Alcaraz - the longest French Open final on record.

The Italian won Australian and US Open titles in 2024 and Wimbledon in 2025, adding a second Australian title in 2025 too, leaving Roland Garros as his final Grand Slam to conquer.

Defending champion Alcaraz - 2024 and 2025 champion - has confirmed he will miss this year's tournament at Roland Garros due to a wrist injury, and will also miss Wimbledon in July.

Elsewhere, 2023 French Open champion Novak Djokovic starts by facing Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in Paris - and is crucially drawn onto the opposite side to Sinner - while 19-year-old Spaniard Rafael Jodar will play American Aleksandar Kovacevic.

British No 1 Cameron Norrie will begin his campaign against Adolfo Daniel Vallejo of Paraguay.

Jacob Fearnley, the only British unseeded player, will begin his campaign against Juan Manuel Cerundolo, and could then face Sinner in the second round.

On the women's side of the draw, defending champion Coco Gauff starts by facing fellow American Taylor Townsend.

World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka, runner-up at Roland Garros in 2025 after defeat to Gauff, is still in search of her first French Open triumph, and faces Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the first round.

Four-time French Open champion Iga Swiatek begins her campaign by facing Australia's Emerson Jones.

Britain's Emma Raducanu faces Argentina's Sierra Solana, while compatriots Katie Boulter and Francesca Jones face American wild card Akasha Urhobo and Brazil's Beatriz Haddad Maia respectively.
