A joint Lebanese-Palestinian committee will meet today, Friday, to discuss the mechanism for disarming Palestinian camps, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said Thursday on the X platform, after he met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbad and agreed with him to remove weapons that aren't under the authority of the Lebanese state, including in the camps.

The security committee includes Lebanon's Director of General Security Hassan Shuqair, Director of army intelligence Tony Qahwaji and chairman of the Lebanese-Palestinian dialogue committee Ramez Dimashqieh.
